Lulu Spencer raked a hand through her blonde hair as she woke up on the couch at The Haunted Star for at the least millionth time that month. Lulu was supposed to be at home with her new husband but, the loft didn't feel like much of a home anymore. Lulu was surprised that that Johnny hadn't asked why she'd been here so much, then again maybe she could believe it.
"Is something going on with you and Falconeri?" Johnny Zacchara asked, walking into the main room of the boat, he'd seen Lulu here most nights...he had to ask the question.
"You could say that." Lulu slowly nodded, running a brush through her hair.
"Okay..." Johnny trailed off, unsure if he wanted to have this conversation.
"Don't worry about me, I'm straight. I'm always fine regardless of the situation." Lulu struggled to her feet, this couch was killing her back.
"Lulu, you can't bluff a bluffer. I practically invented that game, come on. You know you can talk to me. Everyone is going to start asking questions because, you and Dante did just tie the knot on Christmas." Johnny sighed, did she forget that he knew her?
"No, because you're going to want to hurt Dante." Lulu rolled her eyes, joining him at the bar.
"Lulu, I already want to do that! You might as well give me another reason." Johnny lightly smirked.
"Right, how could I forget about your personal vendetta against every cop in town? Silly me. Johnny, he hurt me. You aren't going to like this, I am warning you. Okay?" Lulu sighed, fighting a smile.
"Hey, they're the ones that judge me before they even get to know me. Hurt you...how exactly? Lulu, you know I hate to be kept in suspense. I know I'm not going to like this but, I still want to know. You're important to me, Lulu. Thanks for the warning but, I wanna know what's up." Johnny knew he would want to kill Dante, whatever Lulu said.
"Cops are dicks, apparently they always have been. Dante's having a kid with Delores Padilla...he's been cheating on me the entire time we were engaged. I was ready to be a mom but, I guess it's not in the cards. I'm supposed to be at home with my new husband but, I can't bring myself to even be around him. I filed for an annulment...I can't live like this. I just can't. He sure took a cue card from his daddy." Lulu sighed, she felt better at saying the words aloud.
"I don't know what to say, I am so sorry. If there's any consolation...you'd be a damn good mom. Why don't you adopt? There isn't any reason you should depend on a man just to be a mother, there are plenty of good kids out there who need a loving mother. Hell, I could step in and be a father figure." Johnny patted her arm.
"That skipped my mind but, you're completely right! You'd really do that for me? You are so sweet." Lulu kissed his cheek.
"Only to you, everyone else thinks I'm an ass." Johnny chuckled, she still found ways to flatter him after all these years.
"You can be but, that's all part of your charm."
