Summary: In another life, maybe Sam and Drew would end up together.

 

Sam Morgan stared at herself in the vanity mirror, she only had fifteen minutes before she would be walking down the aisle to her future. Was being married to Dante really what she wanted? Sam had never gotten cold feet before she married Jason but, look how that turned out. Who was she kidding? Of course she was ready to be Dante's wife, they were practically married already. Sam brushed her fingers against the satin fabric of her veil, she almost didn't hear the doorknob turn. Almost. Sam was shell shocked to see Drew standing in front of her, gingerly shutting the door behind him.

 

"What are you doing here?" Sam was shocked to see Drew.

 

"Sam, you know that you belong with me. Dante isn't right for you, he never had been. We had a good life together once upon a time, I don't think I'm ready to give that up. You, me, Danny And Scout...we can be a family again just like we always planned." Drew pleaded, his blue eyes were urgent.

 

"Drew...I love Dante. There was a time when I would have run to you and never looked back but, that time Is over. I've made a life with Dante and our children. What you and I shared was amazing, you were exactly what I needed at that time but...it's time we accept it for what it is. You and Carly are great together and Dante makes me happy. I'm sorry but, I'm getting married today." Sam felt a deep ache in her chest as she made a beeline for the door, maybe in another life she and Drew would get their happy ending.
