Johnny Zacchara stared lovingly as Lulu Spencer bounded across the living room, boxes of Christmas decorations adorning the usually clean apartment.
"What are you looking at?" Lulu laughed, turning around from her spot at the Christmas tree.
"It's our first Christmas together. No Shadybrooke, No Pentonville, just you and me. I guess I'm just happy to see you so care free and happy. That's all." Johnny smiled, walking towards her.
"I'm definitely grateful for everything we had to go through last year because it gives us this moment right now. I know that we can overcome anything life throws at us. I love you, Johnny Zacchara." Lulu kissed his lips.
"I've never known anyone that gets so excited about Christmas, growing up nobody really celebrated. It was all doom and gloom. It's refreshing." Johnny stroked her blonde hair.
"My mom always loved Christmas, it was her favorite time of the year...that's why my dad called her angel. I guess that's where I get it from, the holidays are my favorite time of year. We can start new traditions because we don't have to be held down by our families anymore." Lulu smiled, she was so glad that they were finally at peace.
"I am more than happy to put the doom and gloom behind me." Johnny chuckled, lighting some white candles and placing them in the window sill.
"Do you want to put the Star on the tree?" Lulu smiled.
"I would love to." Johnny takes the silver glittery Star topper from her and places it on the top of the tree, the lights from the tree illuminated Lulu's face.
"Lulu, I need to ask you something." Johnny had planned this on Christmas Day but, he couldn't wait any longer.
"Well, go ahead." Lulu laughed, giving him a curious look as Johnny got down on one knee.
"Lulu Spencer, you are a wild card. I never know what I'm going to get with you, you're always down for anything and I love it. I love you more than I've ever loved anything. I want to start our own little family, nothing would make me happier than making an honest woman out of you. Will you marry me?" Johnny opened the black box, revealing a simple pear shaped diamond ring.
"Johnny, that was beautiful! Oh my gosh, you're proposing to me...that's why you went to talk to my dad earlier! You got his blessing! Oh my gosh, of course I'll marry you! Oh Johnny, this is the best Christmas ever!" Tears of joy seeped down Lulu's face as she said yes, Johnny slipped the ring onto her ring finger and stood up.
"You're beautiful." Johnny cupped her face in his hands, kissing her soft lips.
